Well, it's been a while since I updated, and I got up super early this morning to go to the Farmer's Markets so I'm feeling motivated.

Farmer's Markets were totally awesome. A bunch of us got up at crazy o'clock and went, and split the prices of things, so the already low prices were even lower. I even managed to find some saltbush lamb, which I'm very excited about - I hear it's very good.

New job's going well, which coupled with the huge assignment I just handed in (check out the Alice pictures if you haven't already) is the reason I haven't been around much. But I think I've pretty much got everything in the bag til the end of year now - only 6 weeks til I finish uni for ever! I did end up doing a deal with the boss from the chocolate shop, so I'm still employed there til the end of the year and can pick up some extra shifts over Christmas, since I've decided I'm moving next yea and will need extra money for that.

It is a sad day when you have to quit your fabulous chocolate job to get a job in the *sigh* real world.

I applied for this part-time graphic design job about a month ago and totally didn't think I'd get it. At the time I was a bit annoyed at work because all my friends (5 in total) had quit in a space of two weeks, so I thought I wanted to move on. Of course, I changed my mind pretty quickly but still went to the interview for this job.

So, of course once I decide I don't actually want it, I get offered the graphic design job. Now I'd be mad to turn down a offer like this, it's a foot in the door into the industry I want to be in, but...I'm going to miss the chocolate

My boss was really good about it when I went to talk to him. He said if I want he'll keep me on the payroll til the end of the year so I can pick up some shifts for extra money once I graduate, which might be a good idea since I'm seriously considering moving to Sydney or Melbourne at the end of the year.

But in the mean time, only 3 more shifts of chocolatey goodness left.

well, 2.3 really. I can't believe in 1 hour I'll be 23 O.o man, that sounds old. Still, you're only as old as you feel, and I'm still not convinced I'm anything past 19 (though I'm a lot wiser and more mature than I was 4 years ago I'm sure)

Wow, that last year went really quickly though. I've had an absolute blast of a year, made some fantastic friends, traveled, hung with my peeps and generally had a great time. Let's see if being 23 can top being 22. haha.

I'm very excited though, this year I'm actually having a birthday party! Like with people and stuff! I haven't had a proper party since I was 18, so it's a big event for me

I haven't exactly had the best birthdays for the past 4 years. They've ranged from being pretty bad to down right crap, so here's hoping tomorrow is good - and I have the day off work and uni so it's a good start already.

Also, I'm getting a sonic screwdriver tomorrow The Doctor Who mania continues!

I've finally given up and embraced my inner geek. Ok, yeah I'm normally verging on the geeky side but my new interest has my more mainstream friends going "omg, you're such a geek."

That's right. I've discovered Doctor Who.

It was innocent enough at the start. One of the commercial networks got hold of Torchwood and was plugging it like crazy last year. So I started watching it. Captain Jack Harkness is awesome. Then I hear his character is appearing in the last couple of episodes of Doctor Who on ABC, so of course I have to check it out. Enjoyed the episodes quite a lot, thought I should watch the new season when it starts. New season starts about a month ago - hilarious! 7.30 on Sunday evenings is now reserved for Doctor Who time.

And then somehow last week I found myself buying the entire third season box set, plus the last six episodes of season two (early birthday present to myself. Birthday in 5 days!!). The guy behind the counter looks at me and says "Well, I've never really gotten into Doctor Who myself, but you seem to like it."
And seriously, I half said "It's because David Tennant is hot." before I stopped myself and said "It's because ...it's very good...yeah."

He's sleek, he's shiny, he's red! Yes, I'm updating from my all new laptop, Lappy 2.0~!!

My old laptop has been struggling with all my graphic design work lately, chucking fits and needing a restart every hour or so as he chokes on programs. So, since it's the new financial year I used my tax refund to buy new shiny lappy! He will be used for REAL WORLD typ works when I graduate at the end of the year, so he's very smick and fast.

So, instead of doing any uni work today, I shall go and spend the rest of the afternoon playing on my new shiny.
